The NT1155 Validator-NTtm
Ethernet System All-in-One Network Management Tool
includes an integrated optical power
meter that measures optical power at 850/1300/1310/1490/1550 nm
on multimode or single-mode fiber. The NT1155 can certify
and maintain active networks and suitable for Wi-Fi. Other new
possibilities are as follows: Identify, configuration,
documentation, VoIP controls. This tester identifies: POTS,
Ethernet, ISDN, Token Ring etc. Also new to this device is the
extensive configuration function. The special aspect of the new
documentation is that it can be imported into Visio or AutoCAD.
The NT1155 Validator-NTtm
measures and presents fast and clear
SPEED and
PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATION
of networks until Cat 6 up to 1 Gigabit. This can be done in 4
steps. First a map of building which all connections are made.
The NT1155 measures all the connections and the
measurement data will be stored on internal memory or using a
USB stick of the unit. And all data will be read on the computer
using the software. These are the wiring order, split pairs,
open ends, shorts and miswires, length
and distance to short circuits and open ends, NEXT, return loss,
attenuation, channel response,
Signal to Noise Ratio, PSACR, skew and
BERT-test. The Plan-Umtm software ties together all the
different cable criteria that are found in complex
voice/data/video installations and presents concise information
in printed reports, while storing data for future use.
The NT1155 test interconnect specifications by TIA 568 and 570
wirings. The NT1155 has a graphical
screen so that all measurements are clear to read and easy to
use.
